June 16th, 2018

Yoga YES! Yes to the HOLISTIC Yoga
Commemoration of the Fourth International Day of Yoga
Yoga for Peace, Love and Harmony
Promoting Health and Happiness
at Anand Ashram Ubud on June 16th, 2018

On June 16, 2018, Anand Ashram Ubud will be hosting the grand finale of  the series of Yoga Workshops as pre-event of International Day of Yoga in Indonesia. The first event of the series was already held on April 28th in One Earth Retreat Centre in Ciawi – West Java, and the second one was held at the City Hall Complex of Yogyakarta on May 5th, 2018, supported by the City Government.

As part of the 4th International Day of Yoga celebration, Anand Ashram Foundation (affiliated with UN/DPI) holds the events in conjunction with the 10th International Bali Meditators’ Festival (IBMF), and supported by the Embassy of India & Jawaharlal Nehru Indian Cultural Centre (JNICC).

The theme of this series is Yoga Yes – Yes to the Four Folds of Yoga: Karma Yoga, Raja Yoga, Jnana Yoga and Bhakti Yoga. The holistic Yoga is not only facilitated in the Ashram but also practiced as a life style. Anand Ashram Foundation is the only place in Indonesia that promotes these four folds of yoga through its activities. Anand Krishna, renowned Spiritual Humanist and founder of Anand Ashram always speaks Yoga as a Holistic Life Style. “Not only a set of physical exercises, Yoga also includes meditation for mental peace, healthy diet and lifestyle, sharpening of the intelligence and selfless service for the betterment of society”. His message is in line with the message from the Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendera Modi emphasizing on the benefits of yoga if practised as a lifestyle.

This event will be attended by more than 200 people and the Consulate General of India in Bali. Common Yoga Protocol and AIM-Yoga (Ananda’s Integral Meditative Yoga) as yoga sessions will be held in Wantilan Desa Pekraman Tegallantang, Ubud, and then continued by Samskriti Sindhu (World Culture Celebration) in Anand Ashram Ubud. The celebration will be full of music, songs and dances from different cultures and countries which share the same cultural root, Sindhu-Saraswati civilization.
