Solo – Being happy is an art of living this very life. It’s about how we widen our horizon of thinking on the very first step of it. This was the theme of the study circle held at Anand Krishna Information Center (AKIC) Solo on Friday March 9th 2012.
Happiness starts with one’s mindset, with one’s way in viewing this very life. An affirmative way of viewing life will result in satisfaction. The ultimate goal will be a holistic health.
.
The participants of the study circle quoted some ideas on happiness from people who were proven happy and whose happiness were spread and felt by others.
One of whose is Aristotle’s. He said that Happiness belong to the self sufficient.
Happiness always belongs to self-contented people. In Javanese term we know the term “nrimo ing pandum” meaning that one is satisfied of what he has done and its very outcome. Satisfaction, self contentment, comes from hard work and willingness to receive the very outcome of it. Then this is happiness, working hard and being contented about its very outcome. This very idea has to be experimented in our life. Then we start our first step on planting the seed of happiness in our life.
Buddha once said that Happiness comes when your work and words are of benefit to yourself and others. We will be happy if what we do and what we say are beneficial to ourselves and others. This will be more applicative. If we bring forth the message of peace and live the message then the happiness will come to our life afterwards.
Last but not least, we’d like to invite friends from Solo to join us. Your presence will be a blessing to us. The lovers’ presence is the manifestation of the presence of the Beloved. Be happy, my friend.
