On Saturday (10/12) Anand Krishna Center (AKC) Joglosemar held a free Neo Zen Reiki service. Since afternoon Jaban Village and Perum Dayu Permai Yogyakarta residents have came to The Center of Meditation and Holistic Health Training which initiated by Anand Krishna. Some grandmothers were waiting their turn to felt Reiki. They registered first to Ahmad Syukri at the front porch. “Ndaftar riyen nggih Mbah …. Sinten asmanipun? (excuse me….may I know your name?)” Syukri greeted friendly.
One of the friends who provide reiki service came directly from Solo. In addition, many volunteers who involved came also from another city: Semarang, Pati, and Kendal. Mr. Mugi, a resident who felt this medical therapy share his story, “I really enjoyed the relaxation during the reiki time just now. My body is fresher.”
Neo Zen Reiki is one of 300 methods of meditation practices that was developed by Anand Krishna. The aim is to improve our energy patterns to be in tune with the Energy of Nature. This ancient technique was popularized by Sensei Usui in Japan (less than one hundred years ago). Reiki healing is not using the mind. This differentiates with other healing systems that use concentration or visualization. Neo Zen Reiki facilitator does not think about the healing.
