On Friday noon, January 6, 2012 at 13:00, the team from One Earth School had the opportunity to conduct hearings with Gunungkidul’s Regent, Mrs. Hj. Badingah, S. Sos at her office in Wonosari. Hearings was conducted related with the educational programs to raise the noble cultural value of our archipelago: mutual cooperation and community service.
This program was inspired by Anand Krishna’s book: Karma-Yoga for Modern People, Transpersonal Working Ethos for the New Age. Our cultural noble values such as mutual cooperation and community service should be reintroduced, especially to the children from their early age.
In Gunung Kidul, Noble Cultural Value Education Program will be held as a pilot project. In the future, it could be subsequently developed also in other areas. Moreover, it is not only for the children, but also for parents. They will get a similar education too.
By taking the name “World Class Culture Children Feast” and for the parents through “Let’s be Cultural Literate”, Mrs. Hj. Badingah well welcomed the implementation of this educational program.
