Sunday (19/02), even Jakarta’s sky was covered by thick cloud, the enthusiasm of participants who came around this morning at Monas was so high. They followed an event held by Indonesian Joyful Laughing Club. It held a laughing exercise regularly every two weeks, which is very beneficial for our holistic health. The event was began with a jogging session. Both two hands touched the chest, the aim is to support the heart during a run.
Then, it’s continued with a dance posture, standing with only one foot. The other foot was folded back and held by one hand and the other hand raised straight up. Then, the eyes stared at the fingertips. Dance posture’s exercise is very beneficial to train both the balance and focus if it’s done routinely.
Lion Mudra or lion posture is the favorite session of the participants to laugh. Two legs were opened and slightly bent, the hands were moved, the mouth was slightly opened and the tongue sticked out. Then, do a quick inhale and exhale through the mouth, according to each participant’s convinence. The purpose of this Mudra Lion’s movement is to detoxify the toxins from the body by quick breath for a few minutes, it’s ended by sticking the tongue out and tensing the entire body while laughing. All participants laughed together because the cuteness of this technique. The relief was obtained after the rapid breathing.
Songs with inspiring lyrics were being a very fitting interludes between each session in the series of Indonesian Joyful Laughing Club’s therapy. Many techniques from Indonesian Joyful Laughing Club are beneficial for our holistic, not only serves for the physical health but also mental, emotional and all human’s layers. The purpose of Indonesian Joyful Laughing Club conducting this two weekly event in National Monument is to spread joy and share holistic health which is very useful for the community.
Holistic health, both for the body and soul is not expensive. Go bed early at Saturday night, wake up early at Sunday morning and come to Monas joining the Indonesian Joyful Laughing Club, it’s free. Every body may attend this event. The next laughter’s meeting will be held at the National Monument on March 4, at 6:00 o’clock in the morning.
