Journalism Training `What it takes to become a good writer`

Yogyakarta – T. Nugroho Persada, a columnist in several regional and national printed media gave a training in journalism with the theme ‘what it takes to become a good writer’ on Thursday February 23rd at 08.15 P.M., in One Earth Learning Center located at Perum Dayu Permai P-17.
Accompanied by the drizzly rain and the cold evening air of Yogyakarta, Nugroho began the program with his about what it takes to be a good writer. One of the necessary requirements is the passion for reading. Because by reading a lot we will have more extensive references so that a writer can produce a good and beneficial article for his or her readership. Nugroho also said that he had been inspired by Anand Krishna, by his writings in the media and by his numerous books.
That evening, the atmosphere became more animated when T. Nugroho Persada also told his personal experience when he began his career as a columnist in a number of printed media. His works were frequently not published. It made him even more curious that he took measurements of the articles published in the printed media with a ruler. Until one day, when eventually his article was published. This achievement gave him new spirits to continue writing. Hard work and perseverance are the capital of a writer who wants his or her work published in the media.
He did not forget to give tips and tricks regarding the articles favored by editors. And to conclude the program, Nugroho gave an assignment to the participants of that evening’s program. They have to write either a book review or a report of an event or activity. Happy writing!
