A series of earthquakes in D.I. Yogya and Central Java on 27 May 2006 devastated buildings and other infrastructures and left many people with post traumatic stress disorder.
To help recovering this situation, National Integration Movement and Anand Krishna Centre launched Mobile Facility for Stress and Trauma Management (Pusat Pemulihan Stres & Trauma Keliling – PPSTK), registered in the UN OCHA contact directory. This mobile facility gave free medical help, recuperation from traumatic stress in the form of chatarsis and joyful and musical therapies, also special program for dealing stress for kids. The goal was to give the victims the spirit to go on life, empower themselves and made them self-reliant as soon as possible.
The program was done on the ground zero every Sunday in cooperation with local government.
