Solo – Friday, April the 13th 2012, Anand Krishna Information Center (AKIC) Solo held the third Neo Self Empowerment Meditation. The occasion started at 7 p.m. by first having a study circle on the book of Total Success written by Mr. Anand Krishna which was the continuation of the previous discussion on the same book.
.
Generally speaking, this particular study circle talked more about personal responsibility in gaining the true success. One of the responsibilities that one needs to take is a conscious willingness to build a pleasing personality, where we consciously and responsibly grow the qualities within that can please ourselves and others and at the same time eliminate the qualities that can hardly please ourselves and others.
After the study circle was the meditation session which was the catharsis practice. The participants were asked to let go all of the suppressed emotions which may be in the form of anger, sadness, dissatisfaction, etc by doing a fast and harsh breathing. Accompanied by a beat music, the participants were instructed to bring all of the suppressed emotion to come out, so the mind and the soul could be less and less burdened.
After doing the catharsis, the participants were instructed by Pak Triwidodo as the facilitator to lay down on the floor and enjoy the relaxation gained after the catharsis. This particular session was accompanied by the classic music to get a more intense relaxation.
After that was the session of celebrating life, where the participants were invited to celebrate life by dancing in harmony with some meditatively cheerful songs. This session was the perfection of the previous two where the participants could taste that could be manifested through being cheerful in celebrating life.
After the meditation session was done, Ibu Triwidodo had like to share a precious tip on how to channel the suppressed emotion on the daily basis. This was the tip that was also taught by Mr. Anand Krishna. A simple yet very effective tip that can be practiced daily.
Each participant was given a pillow then was instructed to hit it as roughly as possible in reflecting the intensity of the suppressed emotions of each participant. Then the participants were told to follow the practice by looking him/herself at the mirror and making funny facial expressions.
By doing so, we can gain relaxation and releasing toxic emotions without necessarily getting involved in harmful actions and wrong doings either to ourselves or to others. That’s all we can share for now. Love and Light.
