Solo – Thank you for the chance given to me to share this. I am not worthy and not competent of writing this report and yet I am given this privilege. Thank you very much. Without your love, o brothers and sisters, without your kind support, what is my worth? With your love, this very hand is guided to write and share this…
After several rounds of study circle discussing books written by Mr. Anand Krishna, Anand Krishna Information Center (AKIC) Solo in collaboration with Anand Krishna Center (AKC) Joglosemar had an opportunity to hold an Open House with Mr. Anand Krishna and had a face-to-face talks with him. That occasion was held at AKIC Solo on Jl. Dwarawati number 33, Sidokare, Serengan, Solo. It was on March 15th at 7 p.m. This open house was open for every one who lives in or around Solo.
In that occasion, Mr. Anand Krishna invited us all to go and look within to have a close look at what we have done to prepare our long journey of eternity. “Just to come to the open house”, said he, “we need to prepare ourselves. We take a good bath, first. We do every necessary preparation hours before the occasion. Then, what have we done, what have we prepared for our eternal journey after our physical death? Have we had with us what we really need for the journey?”
“What should be with us in this journey? Where are we from anyway? Where are we going after we die? Whatever we have gained in this physical life, we have to leave it. Our family, our belongings, no matter what we have. what or who will accompany us when we leave this world?”
“Only the fruits of our actions, thoughts and words will accompany us. Every part or our body will be asked about what it has done in this life. This very remembrance of death will bring transformation into our life. That we all are from God, and we all belong to God.”
In the question and answer session, the participants were very enthusiastic. Brother Pranoto from Semarang asked how to maintain our joyfulness in our daily lives amidst so many challenges and hardships.
Mr. Anand said that we have to be honest and truthful to ourselves. If we want to cry, just cry. Don’t laugh just to protect the pain inside your heart. Be authentic. Be genuine. One of our shortcomings, Indonesian people’s shortcoming, as what Muchtar Lubis once said is that we tend to fake what we really feel. Our emotion has never been released to the maximum. We have been lukewarm and tepid. We don’t call a spade a spade.
Those things have burdened our soul. Those layers of unreleased sadness and dissatisfaction explode every thirty year. We become wild and barbaric. We killed people on behalf of so many things but the reality is that it is our unreleased emotions that turn us into sadistic killers. What should we do? Are we going to repeat the mistake we have committed again and again?
Therefore all these centers should be functioned as places for self-empowerment, for us to release toxic emotions that have burdened and poisoned our soul. We have to start to be responsible for our lives. With this very responsibility we start to be able not only to maintain our joyfulness but also to share it with others.
Thank You for the Ultimate Existence, for the Mother Earth, for this very opportunity to share this. I salute Thee.
